I love this and your peaceful surroundings, Gail. I think you’d like Neil Postman’s Amusing Ourselves to Death (if you haven’t read it already) about the rise of TV and especially TV news. What Postman wasn’t even able to predict was that we’d all be carrying TVs around with us in our pockets. It’s scary accurate, and also shows why it’s so important to have those screen-free refuges. It’s a beautiful book shelf!
