In other words, you first need the basics of salary/benefits and an enjoyable environment. If you’re always afraid of getting laid off and you hate your crappy cubicle and co-workers, you’re going to hate your job. But a nice environment and stable paycheck isn’t enough to motivate you. For that, you need challenges to tackle and the autonomy, support and skill to succeed when met with new problems.

It’s a pretty basic formula but so many people overlook it in the pursuit of passion. So congratulations on finding the right fit!
